How fun is this???? Jude just found some new reveiws that have just come out. Take a look.www.frontstreetreviews.com/children.html Nothing makes anyone who writes happier than to get some nice reviews. This reveiwer really got the ideas behind the books. Bravo!

Things are cracking!

We are as busy as ever. So what else is new? There are two more lesson guides going to print this week. The audio books should be in actual production. the Public Relations campaign, by Pr by the Book is pushing forword as is the marketing by Karen Strauss at Strauss Consultants.

I have done several more interviews which you can listen to on the website. I am trying to get a copy of the TV interview i did recently as well.

We will make a dash to Albugquergue, NM to pick up our granddaughter, Ashleah, the singer on Vultures in the Cemetery audio book, and she will come to the high country to stay with Ammi and Papo for a while. I can remember how special my times were with my grandparents and hope this will be something special she will remember as well.

My UK sis, Jude tells me we are getting to a place that I need a good "PA" or personal assistant. i agree totally about that. as soon as the books and all the materials begin selling perhaps that will become a prayer that can be answered.

I wanted to mention that I am also on Twitter and Face book in case anyone wants to keep track of the goings on there as well. They all tell me Social networking is the thing we must have in this fast paced world of ours. I have to admit I have taken to it like a duck to water. It gives me a change in that I can simply write. Write without much though or editing. That is what I love most.

You will all probably say, "She should do more editing before she posts." Oh well. Sometimes i just want to have fun and write, write write. I love it so much I love writing more than talking. Hard to believe and those who know me best will say that is an unbelievable statement for sure.

well bye for now and we shall talk again soon.

love and blessings,
PJ

What a terrific Saturday this is. The sun is shining here in the Colorado High Country. A cool breeze, 60's in the shade and 70's in the sun. We started our day with a wonderful bike ride in the cemetery...the same cemetery featured and written about in my Vultures in the Cemetery book.

I had a great week with a number of positive interviews. We are waiting for a copy of my TV interview and I will be posting it when it arrives.

I am still recovering from the wonderful gradutaion experience of June third and getting used to seeing my name written out as, Dr. P.J. Nickles. I have reassured my friends and familiy they do not have to call me "Doctor."

I do hope everyone is getting my invitations for our blog sites. People can find up at http://www.pennierich.com/ and scroll down to where it says blog and click on that. As I said earlier, we are trying to get used to this new "social nettworking," but I know with everyone's help we will get there.

Have a great day and we will chat again soon. Love and blessings.

On June 1st of this year I woke up realizing my big dream was actually coming true! I had done it, three books, lesson guides, audio books with music, all coming out and going into the book world market.

After breaking my back, working as a former elementary principal, who would have thought I could be so happy again? After that horrible day, September, 2004, all I could see was my career, my title, my identity, was all gone. Over night, everything gone!

I have often heard people say, "I should write a book." I remembered these words as I spiraled into darker, more negative places in my mind. I began to realize I was the only one who could take this dismal diagnosis of "Total Permanent Disability" and turn it into something fruitful. I wanted to keep my passion for children. teachers, education and animals alive. I wanted to continue to give back to the world and not simply sit and vegetate. I wanted to use my imagination and create books kids would enjoy learning from.

I am just now learning to blog. I am not even certain where this blog will go or how to invite people...rest assured I will figure it out somehow.

There have been so many miracles and two of them are the agents I have. Karen Strauss, of Strauss Consultants, New York and Marika Flatt, Texas. these ladies have helped spark hope for my projects. My great hubby, Richard, does so many things he has never done either and together we all make a great team.

I recently returned from New York, where I had several terrific meetings with these ladies and and plans are being put into place and action taken for PR and sales. I feel as if I am living in a dream.

I was told blogs should not become epics and since today's has become one, I shall force myself to stop. I will be adding more and I am looking forward to making many new cyber friends as we figure out how all this happens.

I want to add one more thing. I owe loads of gratitude to J.A. Jance, author of Edge of Evil and Hand of Evil. These two books have taught me loads about blogging. read them they are great mysteries.

Bye for now and happiness and education to you all
